Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.71150.14 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 10 February 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10559.16 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 60590.16 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 20470 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 8156.35 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 1.06% to Rs. 85785 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was up by 1.15% to Rs. 68765 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was up by 1.03% to Rs. 8471 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-25 contract was up by 1.03% to Rs. 85250 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.57% to Rs. 95873 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.52% to Rs. 95684 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.52% to Rs. 95669 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3536.87 crores with volume of 4133 lots and OI of 18583 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1571.70 crores with volume of 5462 lots and OI of 28418 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 927.68 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was down by 0.37% to Rs. 863.9 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was down by 0.57% to Rs. 269.25 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.14% to Rs. 257.95 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was down by 0.39% to Rs. 179.2 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 510.42 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 87.80 crores, Lead futures Rs. 70.19 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 166.58 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1601.81 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 1.03% to Rs. 6301 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was up by 1.66% to Rs. 299.9 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 316.92 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1023.57 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.16% to Rs. 932 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was down by 0.06% to Rs. 53710 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 60590.16 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 779.48 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was up by 25.75% to Rs. 101.10 with volume of 78543 lots & OI of 19067 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was down by 26.71% to Rs. 104 with volume of 60661 lots & OI of 20551 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was up by 13.88% to Rs. 13.95 with volume of 16338 lots & OI of 6094 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was down by 14.91% to Rs. 14.55 with volume of 12164 lots & OI of 4246 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.86000 was up by 53.69% to Rs. 977.50 with volume of 1365 lots & OI of 518 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.84000 was down by 38.59% to Rs. 436 with volume of 2011 lots & OI of 936 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was up by 12.51% to Rs. 1862.00 with volume of 1471 lots & OI of 542 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by 14.17% to Rs. 1492.5 with volume of 1065 lots & OI of 557 lots.
