
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.83753.55 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Friday, April 25, 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 16264.98 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 67487.71 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jun-25 futures was reached at 22087.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 13376.82 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with June-2025 expiry contract was down by Rs.785 or 0.82% to Rs. 95127 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN April-2025 contract was down by Rs.402 or 0.42% to Rs. 95000 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA April-2025 contract was down by Rs.226 or 0.3% to Rs. 76184 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL April-2025 contract was down by Rs.15 or 0.16% to Rs. 9596 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM May-2025 contract was down by Rs.715 or 0.75% to Rs. 95092 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with May expiry contract was down by Rs.93 or 0.1% to Rs. 97418 per kg, while SILVERM April-2025 contract was up by Rs.167 or 0.17% to Rs. 97273 per kg and SILVERMIC April-2025 contract was up by Rs.70 or 0.07% to Rs. 97320 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 7042.81 crores with volume of 7382 lots and OI of 20794 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1706.50 crores with volume of 5813 lots and OI of 17343 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 1648.14 crores. COPPER April-2025 contract was down by Rs.6.15 or 0.72% to Rs. 848.15 per kg and ZINC April-2025 contract was down by Rs.1.8 or 0.71% to Rs. 252.05 per kg while ALUMINIUM April-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.05 or 0.02% to Rs. 234.6 per kg and LEAD April-2025 contract was up by Rs.1.35 or 0.77% to Rs. 176.65 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1035.42 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 160.21 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 26.90 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 289.33 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1076.25 crores. CRUDEOIL May-2025 contract was down by Rs.57 or 1.06% to Rs. 5323 per BBL while NATURALGAS May-2025 contract was up by Rs.1.2 or 0.46% to Rs. 264.7 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 473.15 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 425.80 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL April-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.3 or 0.03% to Rs. 908 per kg and COTTONCNDY May-2025 contract was down by Rs.500 or 0.89% to Rs. 55450 per candy.

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 67487.71 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1071.61 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option May contract at Strike price of Rs.5400 was down by Rs.20.4 or 10.17% to Rs. 180.10 with volume of 43719 lots & OI of 14813 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5400 was up by Rs.35.1 or 15.78% to Rs. 257.5 with volume of 40702 lots & OI of 6710 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option May contract at Strike price of Rs.280 was up by Rs.0.15 or 1.09% to Rs. 13.85 with volume of 4343 lots & OI of 3706 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.250 was down by Rs.0.75 or 5.32% to Rs. 13.35 with volume of 6527 lots & OI of 4102 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was down by Rs.343 or 34.89% to Rs. 640 with volume of 4078 lots & OI of 805 lots, while GOLD Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.94000 was up by Rs.188.5 or 50.2% to Rs. 564 with volume of 3596 lots & OI of 894 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was down by Rs.271 or 7.33% to Rs. 3425.5 with volume of 251 lots & OI of 611 lots, while SILVER Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by Rs.25.5 or 1.11% to Rs. 2266 with volume of 223 lots & OI of 324 lots.
