Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.96862.93 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 11 February 2025 till 5:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 16737.14 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 80123.14 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 20350 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 13111.50 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was down by 0.6% to Rs. 85300 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was down by 0.17% to Rs. 68765 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was down by 0.29% to Rs. 8458 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-25 contract was down by 0.5% to Rs. 84881 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was down by 1.29% to Rs. 94065 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was down by 1.26% to Rs. 93950 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was down by 1.26% to Rs. 93939 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 6329.14 crores with volume of 7382 lots and OI of 17714 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2530.03 crores with volume of 8898 lots and OI of 26231 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1779.27 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was down by 1.66% to Rs. 852.95 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was down by 1.75% to Rs. 266 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was down by 0.94% to Rs. 257.75 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was down by 0.86% to Rs. 178.2 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1023.76 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 325.36 crores, Lead futures Rs. 47.03 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 247.52 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1807.40 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.54% to Rs. 6371 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was up by 0.36% to Rs. 304.9 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 395.72 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1142.54 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was down by 0.09% to Rs. 922 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was down by 0.37% to Rs. 53810 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 80123.14 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 931.67 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was up by 8.79% to Rs. 123.80 with volume of 68245 lots & OI of 12699 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was down by 27.14% to Rs. 55.3 with volume of 85821 lots & OI of 20776 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was up by 6.23% to Rs. 16.20 with volume of 15868 lots & OI of 6297 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was down by 7.42% to Rs. 10.6 with volume of 16633 lots & OI of 8434 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.87000 was down by 19.95% to Rs. 491.50 with volume of 1748 lots & OI of 473 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 was up by 24.62% to Rs. 868 with volume of 2640 lots & OI of 699 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by 26.76% to Rs. 1461.50 with volume of 2570 lots & OI of 1252 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.94000 was up by 45.84% to Rs. 1788 with volume of 1346 lots & OI of 283 lots.
