
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.54475.86 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 03 March 2025 till 5:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10205.63 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 44268.92 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Mar-25 futures was reached at 20167.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 7529.94 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.87% to Rs. 84950 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Mar-25 contract was up by 0.54% to Rs. 69070 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Mar-25 contract was up by 0.41% to Rs. 8646 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-25 contract was up by 0.91% to Rs. 85065 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 1.37% to Rs. 94156 per kg, while SILVERM Apr-25 contract was up by 1.33% to Rs. 95670 per kg and SILVERMIC Apr-25 contract was up by 1.28% to Rs. 95646 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3621.58 crores with volume of 4269 lots and OI of 15921 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1572.32 crores with volume of 5509 lots and OI of 20715 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 994.02 crores. COPPER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.14% to Rs. 862.8 per kg and ZINC Mar-25 contract was up by 0.73% to Rs. 268.65 per kg while ALUMINIUM Mar-25 contract was up by 0.35% to Rs. 258.15 per kg and LEAD Mar-25 contract was down by 0.08% to Rs. 180.25 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 603.95 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 98.54 crores, Lead futures Rs. 9.74 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 200.43 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1851.54 crores. CRUDEOIL Mar-25 contract was down by 0.13% to Rs. 6110 per BBL while NATURALGAS Mar-25 contract was down by 0.53% to Rs. 337 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 274.97 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1262.54 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Mar-25 contract was up by 0.17% to Rs. 918 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was down by 0.06% to Rs. 53100 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 44268.92 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 798.88 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6100 was down by 6.76% to Rs. 150.40 with volume of 49682 lots & OI of 11442 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6100 was down by 2.35% to Rs. 141.5 with volume of 50098 lots & OI of 10905 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.340 was down by 9.4% to Rs. 15.90 with volume of 15763 lots & OI of 4546 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.330 was down by 0.36% to Rs. 13.8 with volume of 13222 lots & OI of 4766 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 was up by 32.36% to Rs. 1135.00 with volume of 1480 lots & OI of 416 lots, while Gold Put Option Mar-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.84000 was down by 28.84% to Rs. 751.5 with volume of 1214 lots & OI of 583 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by 25.15% to Rs. 3496.00 with volume of 570 lots & OI of 469 lots, while Silver Put Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.94000 was down by 19.12% to Rs. 2347.5 with volume of 540 lots & OI of 228 lots.
