
India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.110733.96 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 till 4:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 25492.27 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 85237.57 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Apr-25 futures was reached at 22453.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 23179.29 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with June-2025 expiry contract was up by Rs.1075 or 1.11% to Rs. 98354 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN April-2025 contract was up by Rs.1358 or 1.4% to Rs. 98350 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA April-2025 contract was up by Rs.1198 or 1.54% to Rs. 78940 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL April-2025 contract was up by Rs.189 or 1.94% to Rs. 9913 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM May-2025 contract was up by Rs.1218 or 1.26% to Rs. 98018 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with May expiry contract was down by Rs.81 or 0.09% to Rs. 95166 per kg, while SILVERM April-2025 contract was down by Rs.66 or 0.07% to Rs. 95032 per kg and SILVERMIC April-2025 contract was down by Rs.126 or 0.13% to Rs. 94955 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 11999.84 crores with volume of 12142 lots and OI of 24595 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2817.30 crores with volume of 9816 lots and OI of 22767 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 1271.87 crores. COPPER April-2025 contract was up by Rs.3.85 or 0.46% to Rs. 847.35 per kg and ZINC April-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.95 or 0.38% to Rs. 248.1 per kg while ALUMINIUM April-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.7 or 0.3% to Rs. 230.75 per kg and LEAD April-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.15 or 0.08% to Rs. 177.5 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 767.56 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 137.20 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 26.39 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 244.97 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1070.79 crores. CRUDEOIL May-2025 contract was up by Rs.79 or 1.48% to Rs. 5415 per BBL while NATURALGAS April-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.4 or 0.15% to Rs. 258.6 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 274.22 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 616.44 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL April-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.7 or 0.08% to Rs. 920 per kg and COTTONCNDY May-2025 contract was down by Rs.100 or 0.18% to Rs. 54930 per candy.

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 85237.57 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1072.68 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option May contract at Strike price of Rs.5400 was up by Rs.32 or 17.33% to Rs. 216.70 with volume of 31768 lots & OI of 10426 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5400 was down by Rs.47 or 18.4% to Rs. 208.4 with volume of 17855 lots & OI of 6683 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option April contract at Strike price of Rs.260 was down by Rs.0.25 or 4.85% to Rs. 4.90 with volume of 32847 lots & OI of 12101 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.260 was down by Rs.0.1 or 1.53% to Rs. 6.45 with volume of 33556 lots & OI of 9114 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was up by Rs.407.5 or 94% to Rs. 841 with volume of 3869 lots & OI of 495 lots, while GOLD Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was down by Rs.186 or 23.95% to Rs. 590.5 with volume of 3100 lots & OI of 679 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option April contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was down by Rs.123 or 15.23% to Rs. 684.5 with volume of 7448 lots & OI of 1353 lots, while SILVER Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by Rs.24.5 or 2.65% to Rs. 900.5 with volume of 4401 lots & OI of 905 lots.
