Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.67654.92 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 04 February 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10792.1 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 56861.03 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 19911 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 7206.98 crores. GOLD Feb-25 contract was down by 0.21% to Rs. 83150 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was down by 0.08% to Rs. 66516 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.06% to Rs. 8208 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.33% to Rs. 83091 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.02% to Rs. 94278 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.04% to Rs. 94106 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.04% to Rs. 94085 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3078.95 crores with volume of 3703 lots and OI of 17567 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1903.29 crores with volume of 6716 lots and OI of 28396 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1342.58 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was up by 0.31% to Rs. 838.35 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.17% to Rs. 267.6 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.02% to Rs. 253.5 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 179.15 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 810.86 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 138.04 crores, Lead futures Rs. 44.62 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 243.34 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2241.71 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was down by 0.93% to Rs. 6275 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was down by 3.33% to Rs. 282 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 500.62 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1393.70 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.02% to Rs. 921 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was up by 0.54% to Rs. 53780 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 56861.03 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1033.74 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was down by 17.03% to Rs. 142.70 with volume of 61890 lots & OI of 15537 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was up by 20.57% to Rs. 168.2 with volume of 59587 lots & OI of 11810 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.290 was down by 27.71% to Rs. 12.65 with volume of 12245 lots & OI of 5595 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.280 was up by 38.89% to Rs. 15 with volume of 14973 lots & OI of 3835 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.84000 was down by 13.07% to Rs. 908.00 with volume of 576 lots & OI of 552 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.82000 was up by 4.84% to Rs. 823.5 with volume of 1056 lots & OI of 640 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.94000 was down by 2.11% to Rs. 2599.00 with volume of 640 lots & OI of 449 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.94000 was down by 2.14% to Rs. 2359 with volume of 590 lots & OI of 213 lots.
