Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.105378.2 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 13 February 2025 till 5:45 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10425.54 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 94950.82 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 20446 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 6363.78 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.6% to Rs. 85995 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was up by 0.5% to Rs. 69270 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.76% to Rs. 8579 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-25 contract was up by 0.55% to Rs. 85492 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.15% to Rs. 95648 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.19% to Rs. 95477 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.2% to Rs. 95465 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2750.96 crores with volume of 3203 lots and OI of 17798 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1377.35 crores with volume of 4780 lots and OI of 27302 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1333.02 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was down by 0.05% to Rs. 863.8 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was down by 0.6% to Rs. 267 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was down by 0.06% to Rs. 257.5 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.36% to Rs. 178.85 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 765.89 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 192.23 crores, Lead futures Rs. 32.25 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 241.57 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2768.57 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was down by 1.37% to Rs. 6141 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was up by 3.11% to Rs. 317.8 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 883.65 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1516.29 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was down by 0.02% to Rs. 918 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was down by 0.13% to Rs. 54030 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 94950.82 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1090.68 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6200 was down by 46.87% to Rs. 47.50 with volume of 124189 lots & OI of 23041 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6100 was up by 118.07% to Rs. 54.3 with volume of 107475 lots & OI of 16022 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.320 was up by 72.22% to Rs. 10.85 with volume of 25783 lots & OI of 6488 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was down by 41.43% to Rs. 4.1 with volume of 21319 lots & OI of 11759 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.87000 was up by 23.5% to Rs. 586.00 with volume of 1111 lots & OI of 423 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 was down by 22.53% to Rs. 634.5 with volume of 1550 lots & OI of 718 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was up by 0.17% to Rs. 1439.00 with volume of 1402 lots & OI of 775 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by 6.58% to Rs. 1306 with volume of 1203 lots & OI of 758 lots.
