
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.89902.87 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 till 4:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 13872.3 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 76030.23 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX May-25 futures was reached at 22016.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 12127.27 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with June-2025 expiry contract was down by Rs.590 or 0.61% to Rs. 95435 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN April-2025 contract was up by Rs.625 or 0.66% to Rs. 95550 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA April-2025 contract was up by Rs.140 or 0.18% to Rs. 76700 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL April-2025 contract was down by Rs.132 or 1.35% to Rs. 9634 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM May-2025 contract was down by Rs.659 or 0.69% to Rs. 95500 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with May expiry contract was up by Rs.733 or 0.76% to Rs. 97197 per kg, while SILVERM April-2025 contract was up by Rs.751 or 0.78% to Rs. 97170 per kg and SILVERMIC April-2025 contract was up by Rs.846 or 0.88% to Rs. 97093 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 5636.54 crores with volume of 5906 lots and OI of 20612 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2592.72 crores with volume of 8863 lots and OI of 16075 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 1000.49 crores. COPPER April-2025 contract was up by Rs.5.95 or 0.7% to Rs. 852.8 per kg and ZINC April-2025 contract was up by Rs.2.8 or 1.13% to Rs. 250.2 per kg while ALUMINIUM April-2025 contract was up by Rs.1.9 or 0.82% to Rs. 233.4 per kg and LEAD May-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.45 or 0.25% to Rs. 178.2 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 653.39 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 93.03 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 15.30 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 148.03 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1005.37 crores. CRUDEOIL May-2025 contract was down by Rs.67 or 1.27% to Rs. 5214 per BBL while NATURALGAS May-2025 contract was down by Rs.3 or 1.05% to Rs. 283 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 350.43 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 489.89 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL April-2025 contract was up by Rs.7.5 or 0.83% to Rs. 916 per kg and COTTONCNDY May-2025 contract was down by Rs.500 or 0.9% to Rs. 54800 per candy.

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 76030.23 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 718.4 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option May contract at Strike price of Rs.5300 was down by Rs.27.4 or 14.71% to Rs. 158.90 with volume of 26674 lots & OI of 12914 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5200 was up by Rs.34.9 or 21.46% to Rs. 197.5 with volume of 33267 lots & OI of 6939 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option May contract at Strike price of Rs.300 was down by Rs.1.1 or 7.43% to Rs. 13.70 with volume of 4429 lots & OI of 3631 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option May-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.280 was up by Rs.1.05 or 5.98% to Rs. 18.6 with volume of 5240 lots & OI of 3581 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was down by Rs.357 or 59.55% to Rs. 242.5 with volume of 7400 lots & OI of 1319 lots, while GOLD Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by Rs.60.5 or 25.26% to Rs. 300 with volume of 7385 lots & OI of 1774 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.98000 was up by Rs.409.5 or 11.9% to Rs. 3850 with volume of 284 lots & OI of 213 lots, while SILVER Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by Rs.168.5 or 7.33% to Rs. 2130 with volume of 156 lots & OI of 402 lots.
