Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.92149.62 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 03 February 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 14340.87 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 77806.28 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 19840 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 10241.30 crores. GOLD Feb-25 contract was up by 1.04% to Rs. 82820 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was up by 0.69% to Rs. 66305 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.74% to Rs. 8174 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.75% to Rs. 82550 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.65% to Rs. 93821 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.62% to Rs. 93675 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.63% to Rs. 93677 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 4713.30 crores with volume of 5714 lots and OI of 17837 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2637.95 crores with volume of 9414 lots and OI of 27642 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1026.13 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was down by 0.31% to Rs. 825.45 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.3% to Rs. 263.15 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was down by 0.1% to Rs. 249.7 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.36% to Rs. 179.1 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 582.70 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 90.91 crores, Lead futures Rs. 70.01 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 181.08 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 3120.34 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 2.25% to Rs. 6493 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was up by 8.08% to Rs. 288.9 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 828.50 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1836.24 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 without any changes 921 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was down by 0.35% to Rs. 53410 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 77806.28 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1516.38 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6500 was up by 75.36% to Rs. 168.70 with volume of 74291 lots & OI of 9966 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6400 was down by 32.36% to Rs. 127.5 with volume of 64502 lots & OI of 10074 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.290 was up by 124.31% to Rs. 16.15 with volume of 23930 lots & OI of 5905 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.280 was down by 46.67% to Rs. 12 with volume of 17303 lots & OI of 3419 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.84000 was up by 43.85% to Rs. 930.00 with volume of 1040 lots & OI of 522 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.81000 was down by 20.38% to Rs. 588 with volume of 1081 lots & OI of 538 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by 22.11% to Rs. 2079.00 with volume of 892 lots & OI of 1133 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.93000 was down by 9.63% to Rs. 2135 with volume of 663 lots & OI of 381 lots.
