Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.39243.46 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 01 February 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 12232.74 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 27008.24 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 19731 point.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 10995.10 crores. GOLD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.16% to Rs. 82100 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-25 contract was down by 0.03% to Rs. 65831 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.06% to Rs. 8119 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Feb-25 contract was down by 0.01% to Rs. 81925 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 0.04% to Rs. 93250 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.05% to Rs. 93148 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.11% to Rs. 93190 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 6949.65 crores with volume of 8416 lots and OI of 17532 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1496.58 crores with volume of 5326 lots and OI of 26579 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 576.22 crores. COPPER Feb-25 contract was up by 0.01% to Rs. 828.1 per kg and ZINC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.06% to Rs. 262.5 per kg while ALUMINIUM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 250.15 per kg and LEAD Feb-25 contract was down by 0.08% to Rs. 178.3 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 112.29 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 27.51 crores, Lead futures Rs. 33.98 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 298.19 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 660.38 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.14% to Rs. 6359 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was up by 0.07% to Rs. 267.5 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 248.14 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 319.46 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Feb-25 contract was down by 0.25% to Rs. 925 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was down by 0.17% to Rs. 53510 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 27008.24 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 416.18 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was up by 1.36% to Rs. 187.00 with volume of 19964 lots & OI of 8937 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was down by 5.11% to Rs. 130 with volume of 18691 lots & OI of 9817 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.270 was down by 2.85% to Rs. 13.65 with volume of 6257 lots & OI of 6125 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.270 was up by 0.93% to Rs. 16.35 with volume of 3738 lots & OI of 4413 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.84000 was down by 0.31% to Rs. 644.50 with volume of 1010 lots & OI of 350 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.81000 was up by 0.88% to Rs. 745 with volume of 1096 lots & OI of 527 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by 0.73% to Rs. 1690.00 with volume of 684 lots & OI of 1186 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was down by 1.54% to Rs. 1828 with volume of 424 lots & OI of 364 lots.
