
ASIA English School Celebrates 79th Independence Day in its 61st Year of Excellence
Ahmedabad, August 15, 2025 — ASIA English School celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day with grandeur and pride, marking the occasion in the school’s 61st year of delivering quality education. The event brought together students, parents, faculty, Trustees of ASIA Charitable Trust, members of the Managing Committee, dignitaries, and well-wishers in a vibrant and patriotic ceremony.
The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag and the singing of the National Anthem, setting an atmosphere of unity and reverence. Chairman Dr. M. P. Chandran delivered a powerful and motivating address, paying tribute to the sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters and highlighting the responsibility of every citizen to uphold honesty, respect, and compassion. He urged students to pursue wisdom beyond academics, teachers to inspire curiosity beyond syllabi, and all citizens to keep the spirit of the tricolour alive in their hearts.
Principal Mr. Francis Fernandes followed with an inspiring speech on the theme “Naya Bharat”, urging students to play an active role in building a new India founded on equality, dignity, and opportunity. Drawing on the school’s six-decade legacy, he emphasised that transformation begins with small, consistent actions, and challenged each student to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.
The cultural segment showcased patriotic songs, dances, and performances portraying India’s heritage and resilience, receiving enthusiastic applause. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, distribution of sweets, and a collective pledge to uphold the values of freedom, unity, and excellence that define both the nation and ASIA English School.
