Mumbai, 2nd April. The dignified ceremony of Nagar Satkar of eminent litterateurs of Nagpur, who were honoured in the year 2024-25 award ceremony of Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy in Mumbai, was held in the Saket Auditorium of Vidarbha Hindi Sahitya Sammelan under the chairmanship of Vice President of the Academy and Nagpur representative Mrs. Priyanka Shakti Thakur.
In this ceremony, after Saraswati Vandana by Ms. Meera Joglekar, Vice President of the Academy Mrs. Priyanka Thakur was welcomed by Ruby Das ‘Aru’. While conducting the program, in the introduction, litterateur Avinash Bagde described the reactions of such persons who were awarded by the Academy and those who could not get the honour this year, as a natural human tendency. In the main program, senior writers of Nagpur, Indira Kislay, Krishna Nagpal, Prabha Lalit Singh, Satyendra Prasad Singh, Madhuri Mishra and Santosh Badal felicitated the three award receivers conferred by the Academy. Thereafter, all three expressed their views.
Mrs. Abha Singh said in her speech that no wordsmith writes with the aim of award or honour. It is the truth inherent in the creation that brings him respect. The work of the writer is to write with full devotion and if his writing is excellent, then the readers will surely give him credit. Dr. Manoj Pandey’s natural statement was that every person likes respect and true respect gives new energy. He said that respect should be given only to those who deserve it. Whatever we have received by destiny, we should try to make it even better.
Senior writer Ramkrishna Sahastrabuddhe explained that respect is a symbol of creativity. He stated that the first reader of my creation was my father. He said that awards inspire and also present a challenge to give direction to the society. Therefore, the significance of words lies in the fact that they move the reader. If we are worshippers of words, then we should be cautious about their use. If we live up to the role of ideological change, then this is the true contribution of creation.
In her presidential address, the Vice President of the Academy, Mrs. Priyanka Thakur said that it is very difficult to maintain the dignity of the post. She said that this celebration of honour is very pleasant for the writers of Nagpur. Especially, it is more proud for the women writers to get the honour, because they handle the challenging responsibility of writing along with home, job and business. She said that Nagpur is gradually registering its important contribution in the field of literature. She told that I am working on “Swarnim Saal RSS” – and want this work to reach the readers.
Tikaram Sahu Azad said that honour encourages everyone. He expressed concern that literature is disappearing from newspapers. In such a situation, if the best writing does not reach the people, then what is its utility? While expressing his gratitude, Shri SP Singh said that the belief that “we will turn every particle of the earth into sun” is the foundation of creation and said that unless we participate in the happiness of others, who will participate in our happiness? To double the dignified nature of the program, in Saket auditorium, Mr. Kishan Sharma, well-known stage director, Neeraj Srivastava editor Power of One, Ajay Pandey senior journalist, Mukesh Kumar Singh, Poonam Mishra, Devyani Banerjee, Banerjee Sir, Singh Saheb, Ramteke Sir, Ruchita, Dr. Sumita Kondabatunwar, Manjusha Kinjawadekar and Umashankar Namdev played a major role.
