
Various prestigious awards for the year 2024-25 have been announced by Maharashtra Rajya Hindi Sahitya Academy, Mumbai. The Maharashtra Rajya Hindi Sahitya Academy, which is constantly striving for the promotion and development of Hindi, has been giving awards every year to various Hindi writers. These awards given by the academy are of all India, state and category levels.
Giving this information, Dr. Sheetla Prasad Dubey, Working President of Maharashtra Rajya Hindi Sahitya Academy, stated that this year in the All India Samman Jeevan Gaurav Awards, the famous litterateur Ramakrishna Sahastrabuddhe is selected for ‘Maharashtra Bharti All India Hindi Sevee Puraskar’ & Renowned litterateur Dr. Shriram Parihar is selected for ‘Dr. Ram Manohar Tripathi All India Hindi Sevee Puraskar’. In the same order of the awards, under the State Level Honor Jeevan Gaurav Award, ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Rashtriya Ekta Puraskar’ to Rajesh Kumar Mishra alias Rajesh Vikrant, ‘Sane Guruji Rashtriya Ekta Puraskar’ to Rishikumar Mishra, ‘Padmashree Anant Gopal Shevade Hindi Service Award’ to Dr. Sanjay Singh, ‘Dr. Usha Mehta Hindi Seva Award ‘to Dr. Sushmita Bhattacharya,’ Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh Marathi-speaking Hindi Writer Award ‘to Prof (Dr.) Vijaykumar Rode,’ Kantilal Joshi Other Hindi-speaking Hindi Writer Award to Geeta Manake, V. Shantaram Lalit Kala Hindi Distinguished Service Award will be given to Akhilendra Mishra and ‘Subramanya Bharati Hindi Setu Vishisht Seva Award’ to Sheela Dongre, have been announced.
Awards to 36 creators in 14 genres
Under the academy’s 14 genre awards, 36 litterateurs will be awarded. Under these, ‘Sant Namdev Award’ for poetry, Amar Kripa Shankar Tripathi, Satyadev Vijay Singh (Satyadev Vijay) and Thakur Bharat Singh, ‘Janendra Kumar Award’ to Novelists ‘Virendra Ojha, Mrs. Rekha Baijal and Kottapalli Lata (Lata Tejeshwar’ Renuka), the ‘Munshi Premchand’ award for story to Shyamlal Gupta, Hari Mrudul, Paramita Shadangi (Archana Mishra) and Dr. Varsha Punwatkar, ‘Acharya Ramchandra Shukla Award’ for essay to Mrs. Alka Ragini, Dr. Abha Singh and Dr. Fayyaz Ahmed Faizi, ‘Acharya Nanddulare Vajpayee Award’ for review to Dr. Awadhesh Kumar Rai, Dr. Sudhir Wagh & Dr. Balaji Sripathi Bhure and ‘Mama Varekar Award’ for translation will be given to Sevak Nair, Dr. Sheshanarayan alias Shashi Muralidhar Nighojkar and Dr. Prerna Ubale. Similarly, ‘Homi Jahangir Bhabha Award’ for Scientific Technical Writing, will be given to Dr. Amrish Sinha. Mahavir Prasad Dwivedi Award’ for writing related to Hindi language will be given to Dr. Manoj Pandey and Dr. Meena Rajput, ‘Vishnudas Bhave Award’ for drama to Dr. Pooja Hemkumar Alapuria. Kaka Kalelkar award for biography will be given to Dr. Rajendra Pratap Singh, Mangilal Jagmalaram Vishnoi and Bhagwan Vaidya, Baburao Vishnu Paradkar’ award for journalism & art to Dr. Shalendra Dubey, ‘Sohanlal Dwivedi Award’ for Children’s Literature to Rita Amar Kushwaha, Vipul Sen (Poet Vipul Lakhanvi) & Smt Rochika Arun Sharma. Phaniswarnath Renu Award for folk literature will be given to Madan Gopal Gupta (Akinchan), Hemlata Mishra ‘Manvi ‘and Shamrao Narayan Rao Rawale (Shyam Rawale’ Sundar ‘) and Shashibhushan Vajpayee Hindi Writer Award for Rashtrabhakti writing will be given to Krishna Prakash, Renu Sharma and Prateek Rajiv Mishra.
Awards ceremony on 18th March
Congratulating all the award recipients, Academy working president Dr. Sheetla Prasad Dubey said that the Academy’s award ceremony has been decided to be organized on Tuesday, 18 March 2025 at Rangsharada Auditorium, Bandra (West) from 5.30 pm. In the presence of distinguished dignitaries in this ceremony, all the award-winning litterateurs will be honored by giving cash prizes, mementoes and citation by the hands of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar. The expenditure of visiting award- winning litterateurs from outside Mumbai will be borne by the Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy.
