
Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.190624.75 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Friday, April 04, 2025 till 5:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs.28755.97 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs.161866.23 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Apr-25 futures was reached at 20765.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs.21763.30 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with June-2025 expiry contract was up by Rs.166 or 0.18% to Rs.90223 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN April-2025 contract was up by Rs.85 or 0.09% to Rs.90150 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA April-2025 contract was up by Rs.88 or 0.12% to Rs.72469 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL April-2025 contract was up by Rs.1 or 0.01% to Rs.9098 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM May-2025 contract was up by Rs.102 or 0.11% to Rs.89865 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with May-2025 expiry contract was down by Rs.2263 or 2.4% to Rs.92136 per kg, while SILVERM April-2025 contract was down by Rs.2227 or 2.36% to Rs.92236 per kg and SILVERMIC April-2025 contract was down by Rs.2250 or 2.38% to Rs.92233 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs.8447.96 crores with volume of 9393 lots and OI of 20192 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs.6026.77 crores with volume of 21664 lots and OI of 27007 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs.2450.69 crores. COPPER April-2025 contract was down by Rs.44.05 or 5.09% to Rs.822.2 per kg and ZINC April-2025 contract was down by Rs.5.25 or 2.03% to Rs.252.85 per kg while ALUMINIUM April-2025 contract was down by Rs.5.6 or 2.35% to Rs.232.85 per kg and LEAD April-2025 contract was down by Rs.1.9 or 1.07% to Rs.176.35 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs.1740.82 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs.241.67 crores, LEAD futures Rs.50.41 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs.286.46 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs.4604.48 crores. CRUDEOIL April-2025 contract was down by Rs.456 or 7.95% to Rs.5279 per BBL while NATURALGAS April-2025 contract was down by Rs.7.9 or 2.23% to Rs.345.9 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs.2500.09 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs.1533.19 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL April-2025 contract was up by Rs.2.4 or 0.26% to Rs.926 per kg and COTTONCNDY May-2025 contract was down by Rs.580 or 1.05% to Rs.54400 per candy.

Commodity Options accounted for Rs.161866.23 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs.3317.87 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5700 was down by Rs.113.7 or 68.74% to Rs.51.70 with volume of 102349 lots & OI of 12986 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5500 was up by Rs.244.6 or 374.58% to Rs.309.9 with volume of 136054 lots & OI of 6612 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.350 was down by Rs.5.3 or 27.82% to Rs.13.75 with volume of 22772 lots & OI of 3857 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.350 was up by Rs.5.45 or 35.74% to Rs.20.7 with volume of 21875 lots & OI of 4052 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.91000 was up by Rs.172 or 18.32% to Rs.1111 with volume of 1780 lots & OI of 524 lots, while GOLD Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.88000 was up by Rs.86.5 or 14.64% to Rs.677.5 with volume of 2937 lots & OI of 842 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was down by Rs.840.5 or 42.3% to Rs.1146.5 with volume of 3003 lots & OI of 1119 lots, while SILVER Put Option April-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was up by Rs.749 or 110.31% to Rs.1428 with volume of 1953 lots & OI of 613 lots.
