
Mumbai, 13th February. In accordance with the concept of Maharashtra’s Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha & in the courtesy of the leading social organization of Mumbai Metropolitan i.e. Lodha Foundation,
the newly constructed Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Chowk built by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, was inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
This Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Chowk has been constructed near Tata Garden on Mumbai’s Dharmaveer Swarajya Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Sagar Coastal Road. The traffic island near this newly constructed Chowk located on Bhulabhai Desai Road near Coastal Road has also been beautified.
In the inauguration ceremony of this square organized on the occasion of the death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay ji, Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis, Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Mumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani and Lodha Foundation Chairperson Mrs. Manju Lodha, besides Vinod Shukla, Atul Jain from Pandit Upadhyay ji’s family, representatives of the Consulates of Japan and Sri Lanka and other dignitaries graced the stage.
An attractive sketch statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay ji has been installed in this square, which gives information about the major events and contributions of his life. Lodha Foundation Chairperson Mrs. Manju Lodha said that this square is dedicated to that great leader, who gave the important principle of integral humanism to the world and dedicated his whole life for Antyodaya. On this occasion, Mrs. Manju Lodha distributed useful clothes to various workers involved in the construction process, on receiving which everyone’s faces lit up with joy.
