Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.55753.89 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 01 April 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 12899.01 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 42852.95 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Apr-25 futures was reached at 21397.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 10092.07 crores. GOLD Apr-25 contract was up by 0.75% to Rs. 90800 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Apr-25 contract was up by 0.69% to Rs. 72936 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Apr-25 contract was up by 0.57% to Rs. 9165 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Apr-25 contract was up by 0.66% to Rs. 90729 per 10 gram. GOLD TEN Apr-25 contract was up by 0.14% to Rs. 91055 per 10 gram
SILVER May-25 contract was down by 0.07% to Rs. 99996 per kg, while SILVERM Apr-25 contract was down by 0.08% to Rs. 99922 per kg and SILVERMIC Apr-25 contract was down by 0.09% to Rs. 99919 per kg.
Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 4676.64 crores with volume of 5127 lots and OI of 20260 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2198.11 crores with volume of 7291 lots and OI of 21591 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1207.05 crores. COPPER Apr-25 contract was up by 0.32% to Rs. 894.2 per kg and ZINC Apr-25 contract was down by 0.37% to Rs. 268.8 per kg while ALUMINIUM Apr-25 contract was down by 0.43% to Rs. 245.25 per kg and LEAD Apr-25 contract was down by 0.22% to Rs. 178.95 per kg.
Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 746.07 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 152.69 crores, Lead futures Rs. 40.47 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 167.86 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1596.94 crores. CRUDEOIL Apr-25 contract was up by 0.05% to Rs. 6127 per BBL while NATURALGAS Apr-25 contract was down by 0.26% to Rs. 350.4 per MMBTU.
Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 356.47 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 983.29 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL Apr-25 contract was up by 0.03% to Rs. 942 per kg and COTTONCNDY May-25 contract was up by 1.11% to Rs. 54800 per candy.
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 42852.95 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 760.97 crores.
Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6200 was down by 0.44% to Rs. 113.60 with volume of 34847 lots & OI of 6481 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6100 was down by 8.24% to Rs. 124.7 with volume of 38979 lots & OI of 11916 lots.
Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.350 was down by 5.91% to Rs. 19.10 with volume of 11414 lots & OI of 3413 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.350 was down by 2.65% to Rs. 18.4 with volume of 11590 lots & OI of 3264 lots.
Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was up by 19.23% to Rs. 1110.00 with volume of 635 lots & OI of 402 lots, while Gold Put Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was down by 14.33% to Rs. 998.5 with volume of 1117 lots & OI of 419 lots.
Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was down by 0.18% to Rs. 2521.50 with volume of 934 lots & OI of 976 lots, while Silver Put Option Apr-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was up by 3.91% to Rs. 2500.5 with volume of 935 lots & OI of 657 lots.
