Kokan Kala Va Shikshan Vikas Sanstha (Kokan NGO India), in collaboration with Group Gram Panchayat Kokre-Adure Wadi, organised a two-day skill development training for women on 2 and 3 October 2026. The initiative aimed to provide rural women with practical skills and encourage them to explore future livelihood and small-scale business opportunities.
On the first day, women in Adure village received practical training in candle making. On the second day, they received training in soap and washing powder making. The sessions focused on practical learning and guidance to help women understand product-making skills.
A total of 60 women participated on the first day, while 40 women benefited from the training on the second day. Women participated actively and showed strong interest throughout the two-day programme.
The inaugural sessions were attended by the Gram Sevak, Police Patil, Gram Panchayat members, trainers and local representatives. On the second day, the Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat members, respected community members, Anganwadi Sevika and CRP were also present.
The training provided women with an opportunity to learn practical skills and explore the possibility of creating products for future livelihood activities. The initiative aims to contribute towards women’s skill development, confidence building, and exploration of sustainable livelihood opportunities.
